Our celebration of the 100 year anniversary of our great parish of St Anthony of Padua in New Bedford began with a nine day novena on August 6th with special prayers during the Holy Hour each evening at 5:15pm.

On Saturday during the novena benediction after the morning mass at 8am included praying the Most Holy Rosary.  On Sunday during the novena, a special Holy Hour took place at 3pm.

The conclusion of the 9 day novena was celebrated on Tuesday, August 14th at the 5:15pm Vigil Mass for the feast day of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary,  Mother of God.

Directly following the Mass, a Procession took place in which the Knights of Columbus carried the statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary  around the whole block while others joined in praying the rosary.

The evening concluded with Benediction and Consecration of our parish to the Blessed Virgin,  Mother of God, with an Altar outside the front of the church, which was so beautifully adorned with flowers in honor of Our Lady.
